Simone van Dusseldorp
Simone van Dusseldorp graduated cum laude from the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in 1990. In 1994, she graduated from the Dutch Film and Television Academy with the film ‘Waterlanders’ which received the first prize at the Oberhausen Film Festival. She made her debut with the coming-of-age feature film ‘Diep’ and has since directed several award- winning films and series.
In 2016, she was honored with the Cinekid Lifetime Achievement Award for her entire body of work. Since 2017, she has been focusing on an adult audience and has directed various Dutch and international productions, including the critically acclaimed series ‘Droom van de Jeugd’ the internationally released crime series ‘Van Der Valk’ and the Dutch hit series ‘Klem.’
Simone van Dusseldorp is currently completing the six-part series ‘Casus’ for the streaming platform Videoland, which focuses on the issue of #MeToo in the university world.
